A Poem – “I Love Thy Independence”
Today India, my beloved motherland, celebrates 74th Independence Day. As a proud citizen of my country, I dedicate a poem to express my love, tribute and respect.
Independence is thy word
I treasure in my world.
Love to be free but with a zeal
Love to be passionate but not for a deal.
My country my glory
Your vastness is my story
Enticing my soul with your flora and fauna
I dance in ecstasy at your vivid charisma.
I magnify in my country’s diversity
Its purity and enigmatic beauty
I personify in my country’s eccentricity
Its charming and enchanting serenity.
I have a wish to make today and now
Let my country wake up to a brighter tomorrow
Keeping aside all the griefs and sorrows
Let my country emerge steady and victorious.
