7 Best Places for Digital Nomads – Worldwide

Companies present globally are slowly shifting to the emerging trend of remote working. Recruiting employees with niche skill and talent demands hunting talent across various regions in the world. Ring-fencing your requirements to a rigid full-time employment mode is not helping to achieve the much-needed benefits. Hence a paradigm shift to a digital nomad or remote working culture is being preferred by the majority of the companies worldwide. Digital nomads can visit the destinations of their choice and work remotely from such places. The basic objective is to experience nature's scintillating beauty while working full time, part-time or on contract mode. Been researching on this topic for quite a long time, I decided to share the top 7 best places for digital nomads across the world to the best of my knowledge.

Buenos Aires in Argentina

Encompassed with gorgeous natural beauty and excellent architectural marvels, Buenos Aires is one of the best places for digital nomads. Accommodation is affordable at cheap rates in the outskirts of the city. Food is awesome and perfect for people visiting from different parts of the world. The city offers plenty of co-working spaces for digital nomads. If you want to chill out in a cafe, experiencing the air outside and concentrating on your work, the Wi-Fi services are excellent. Transport services are convenient within affordable rates.

Budapest in Hungary

The unique characteristic of opting Budapest as your place of interest as a digital nomad is you can experience the distinguishable beauty of 2 parts of the city. Separated by the river Danube into old and new, it is one of the fabulous places for digital nomads. Historically incredible, culturally rich and naturally beautiful, Budapest offers all affordable means to stay, work and enjoy. Transport is cheaper than in other countries in western Europe. Numerous co-working spaces are available, accommodation is affordable and security is at its best.

Lisbon in Portugal

Lisbon is a paradise for Digital Nomads. Adorned with marvellous beaches, vibrant nightlife, rich culture and spectacular architectural charm, the city is one of the most popular places for digital nomads. It provides excellent facilities for remote working starting from co-working spaces, Bohemian cafes, affordable transportation and accommodation and fast network connectivities. You can even pursue your hobbies and passions through the newly opened “Creative Artistic Hubs” opened in different parts of the city. The best part is you can connect with professionals of similar domains and work together and even travel together if you desire so.

Barcelona in Spain

A splendid city marked with breathtaking landscapes, vivacious aura and architecture grandeur. Barcelona's popularity as one of the best places for digital nomads has been increasing significantly. Primarily because you can relax your minds in the soothing environment encircling the city and dedicate yourself into the seriousness of your jobs. The cafes offer excellent network connectivities through their Wi fi facilities. The co-working spaces are growing up in numbers and the city has started specifically the Barcelona Silicon Valley for digital nomads and remote professionals to assemble and work together.

Chiang Mai in Thailand

Being an avid Indian traveller, I have to specifically mention about Chiang Mai in Thailand. Thailand is the preferred destination of most Indians. But on a different note, it is one of the preferred places for digital nomads. A historic city famous for ancient temples may not be a luxurious in appearance; but offers one of the best facilities when it comes to digital nomads or remote professionals. Modest cost of accommodation and transport, seamless network connectivities with excellent wi fi facilities and innumerable co-working spaces are the utilities provided in Chiang Mai.

Ho Chi Min City in Vietnam

Filled with exotic sightseeing spots and countless opportunities for digital nomads to intertwine travel lust and work; Ho Chi Min city is one of the best places for digital nomads. Specifically phenomenal for organizing several social events encouraging digital nomads to collaborate and meet with each other. The city influences co-working through co-operative office spaces. Transport and accommodation costs are far cheaper than in many countries in Asia. Hence it is recommended for people aspiring to save money yet witness the beauty and heritage of a different culture and city.

Bali in Indonesia

Staying in Bali is a boon for digital nomads. Not only you can experience beach life and other natural wonders in the city; you can even travel to the nearby island countries to satisfy your travelling spree. The city welcomes both, a person who desires to spend a lavish life and a person who prefers an affordable stay. All the facilities necessary for a digital nomad are available. Transportation and accommodation are available in plenty and there is no dearth of co-working spaces. Internet connectivity is excellent for a comfortable work environment.
