20th Century Girl

Year: 2022

Duration: 1h 57m

Language: Korean

Director: Woo-ri Bang

Cast: Yuuki Luna, Kim Yoo-jeonghan, Hyo-joo

ImDb rating: 7.3

Despite the cliché nature, it is one of the valentines day movies you would enjoy watching. The story revolves around Bo-Ra, a 20th-century girl stepping into the 21st century. During the passage of time, a lot happens. In fact, what happens during the phase is a trite triangle love story (four angles in fact) with the usual twists. Bo-Ra and Yeon-doo have been thick friends since childhood. When Yeon-doo has to go to the US for treatment, she asks Bo-Ra to check on her lover and report to her. In the process, Bo-Ra falls for him. Towards the latter part of the movie, heartwarming dialogues, and scenes make up for the initial insanity in the plot. It is also the story of Woon-ho and Hyun-jin. Interestingly all four have their love story incomplete yet there is beauty in it.
