A Scintillating New Year in Fiji Islands

Holiday season calls for holiday trips to enjoyable locations. Is there a better season than year end to embark on your favourite holiday trips? How about clubbing year end celebrations with a beach side DJ party on a charted island? When it comes to scaling the peak of revelry, Fiji Islands in Oceania can top the list. Celebrating new year in Fiji can be a delightful experience if you are party minded. More than 300 islands constitute Fiji. However, only about 100 islands are inhibited by people. Nevertheless, tourism has boomed in these islands. Thanks to the sandy beaches, attractive sceneries, warm islanders and their culture, traditional life, celebrating new year in Fiji can be awesome. Moreover, new year in Fiji Islands is packed with amazing parties and endless enjoyments. A new year in Fiji involves myriads of tropical fantasies. Beyond the bewitching beaches and exotic sea-activities, these islands are tiny pieces of paradise for party lovers.

The main land of Fiji is not the centre of attraction when it comes to tourism in the country. Nonetheless, islands like Mamanuka, Viti Levu, Beachcomber, Vanua Levu, Ovalau, Vatulele, Wakaya, Vomo, et al are key points of attractions.

The article is based on the inputs given by my cousins, Abhi & Nilus who visited the Beachcomber Island recently. The photos and videos are shared by them @together_through_tickles. Their epic itinerary – one that they would’ve wished lasted way beyond year 2025 – was packed to the brim for five days. As their dream destination to celebrate New Year in Fiji zeroed in on Beachcomber Island, it is apt to explore the island. With Spring Break Fiji, the tour operators, the five-day package is a super memorable experience.

Beachcomber Island

Forget about rest of the world and everything else that comes with it. Once you are boarding the boat to the Beachcomber Island, you are in for unlimited fun and surprises. The island is also known as Party Island for a reason. Although the main focus is on partying, the trip will open a window to discover the Fijian culture. With several Fijian style hotels, restaurants, bars and shops, the island is a mini paradise for revelries galore. And the ever-hospitable locals are ready to entertain you.

Ice Breakers

From the time you meet the organizing crew and costume take over on the first day, it is all about party mood. Generally, each group travelling to Fiji from diverse destinations orchestrated by different tour companies, is provided particular set of costumes. After the pre-flight drinks, you are welcome aboard. After landing in the mainland in Fiji, you will be ushered to the chartered Party Yacht. And guess what? Your New Year in Fiji just begins to hit the peak thereon. The extreme merriment platform also sets the tone for mingling with others and knowing the other group members. Even as you lull and swirl amidst loud music, the yacht takes you to the chartered island. It is needless to say, if you are a teetotaller, you will be like fish out of water in these islands!

Parties and activities

On board the yacht, you will be treated with endless amount of food and drinks. Accompanied by DJ music, you have the opportunity to shake a leg, that is if you can stand on your feet. More fun and surprises are in store on the following days. Giant Beerpong Competitions, Underwater Sound System, Tiki Hunt, Giant Jenga, Parasailing, Paint Party, Volleyball Competition with locals. Each day, each hour of your stay in the island is counted.

And there is the magical cloud9 experience. Cloud9 is a surreal two-storey bar floating in the middle of the Pacific Occean. In the backdrop of setting sun, with the incredible sound system and DJs blasting around, stage is set for a memorable evening on the floating bar.
