Reversal of Life – Effects of COVID-19

We all know human beings or homo sapiens in fact as per the scientific term goes, are facing one of the biggest survival crisis today. COVID-19, yes that’s what the pandemic has been named as. Safety, hygiene, positivity, cooperation are being advised from all sectors in the world. I do not want to add more to it but I wanted to share some different aspects or thoughts you may say as effects to this outbreak. I am terming it as “Reversal of Life”. I hope my readers like it. It is a bit different concept than what I generally pen down in my blog.

Our life was moving at a fast pace in recent times. We get up in the morning, rush for our daily gym or walk or run. Then jump for our breakfast and in between glance through the newspaper as if we can capture the whole world in 10 to 15 minutes. But we are handcuffed by time, so we do not look for an alternative or have time to even think about it. Then starts the real rush of our life, running to the office. Some have cars, some don’t have yet it’s all the same when we rush through the traffic. The end result is an increase in pollution level, increase in both mental and physical stress.

“How are we now doing? Have you checked your daily schedule now amid COVID-19? No more rush to finish your exercise within a time limit. No more gulping your breakfast in a hurry. No more running to catch the train or the bus or even start your car for the office. Have you analyzed the end result? Reduction in mental and physical stress. Reduction in pollution level. No traffic jams. Mother Earth seems to be breathing a sigh of relief.”

We Travel Bloggers or Travel Freaks like us, are worried about our next trip due to COVID-19. In fact, we were always worried. Which place do we need to visit next? When can we plan the trip? Shall we go for a solo one or with family and friends? And many more questions. Many of our trips are planned in a hurry. Now my small take on this thought.

“Read interesting blogs and articles on Travel especially from experienced content writers. Create a list of places that are worth seeing, sort of a ranking you may say. Analyze your mind to decipher the types of travel destinations that motivate you or say rejuvenate your body and soul. Take a step back and refresh your memory on the numerous places you have visited in the past. Find out your genre and harp on it more. You got a golden opportunity to realize who you are, what you want and what you desire to do.”

In many Asian countries, most of the households hire maids or house helpers for their daily cleaning jobs and cooking. Then we have daycares and babysitters. We have developed an immense dependency on external support. In an ideal world when things run smoothly as it was a few months before, the outside assistance and help received at the exchange of money seem logical and perfect. Life suddenly seems difficult without the house helpers.

“COVID-19 has curtailed travel, introduced lockdown, advising social distance and to remain indoors i.e. home-quarantined. The house helpers and external support are not available now. We are burdened with all the work starting from cleaning, washing, cooking, taking care of kids and their studies, and the list goes on. Whom can we depend now? Whom can we outsource now? No one right. It’s yourself whom you can depend now for all your work. Is it breaking you? No, it is not. It is making you more strong and firm to fight things out. Your inner strength, courage, the physical and mental ability have increased. We are back to an era when people had to perform all their activities on their own. You have discovered the immense potential you possess and you are nurturing it well. The hidden competency has popped up to its glory.”

Every day millions and millions of people all over the world travel in buses, cars, flights, and other different means of transport. Goods of various kinds are exported or imported across multiple international borders through various transport systems. Footfall increases every day in any region of the world. Do we think of the burden being tolerated by our Mother Earth? Are we able to maintain the balance of sustainability? Perhaps we are not aware or never reserved some time to think about it.

“In this COVID-19 outbreak, there is so much silence around. The frantic movement of people and traffic has become almost a standstill. The cost of living has reduced due to lesser travel. Yes, there are negative impacts that are understood and we know enormous efforts will have to be undertaken to set out life back to normalcy. But the imbalance which may have happened in the world, as per what I predict, has been smoothened somewhat.”

These thoughts came up within my mind sporadically as I continue working from home for the second week of COVID-19. My family time has increased, my son talks with me more than before and shares his thoughts and his ideas. I discover my life in a different way that I am not weak or vulnerable. But yes at the end not compromising the health part. Stay safe and healthy friends. We are strong and we can win.

It’s so important for all of us to do our part to help curb the spread of the virus. Even if we’re healthy, we could spread it to at-risk people.

Staying home as much as possible is what I am doing right now. I hope that people around the world are doing the same. It might stink right now but soon enough this will all be a BLIP on the radar!!! AS LONG AS WE LISTEN TO THE RESTRICTIONS!

I know these are difficult times but we can take it as a call to take a break and understand how humans need to be together and how much you can do for others. Stay home, something so simple as staying home for some days could save thousands of life. So we need to do our part!

And do not forget to wash your hands!!

Hhhhmmmm….reading this, I love how life has turned out for us. Many of us have come to realise how much of idiots we have been taking life and the things that really matter in it, for granted. For some reason, we thought that the world owes us all these and more.

I’m far from grateful for this current situation. This is a pandemic that’s killing people. I agree though stick at home follow the rules listen to the scientists in the public health officials right now and will all get through it together.

The pandemic virus called COVID19 really affects us all but for being lockdown and being with my family for a week and a half I realized how I missed them so much and wanted to take this opportunity to be with them all the time because we will don’t know what will happen to us on the next day. Stay hygiene, stay healthy and STAY at HOME and remember by staying at home you can already help our frontliners to prevent the spreading of this killer virus.

Glad you can find some positives during this time. For me it hasn’t really effected me a whole lot yet, since I have been working from home for a long time now, and am kind of a hermit. But my parents just recently moved near me so it is nice to be able to see them more.

Definitely time to stop and think about what we’ve been doing and how we can be better global citizens going forward. Always best to find the positives!

This is such a crazy time, but I think a lot can come from quarantine (besides the obvious of not spreading the virus).

We had taken Mother Earth for granted. Nature is claiming its space back. The name, ‘Reversal of life’ is so relevant. I think, we human beings are getting back to our original format. Hope the world heals soon and we step out as more evolved and responsible humans beings.

It is teaching us the importance of self-reliance, importance of family being around and also that we’re all human at some point of time though belong to any economic group… It will end as it happens for anything that begins… Prayers for the whole world!

To talk about this is the necessity of the hour. This ‘reversal of life’ that you’re talking about is something we either consciously or sub-consciously thought about for at least once amid this pandemic. And some people just have to know “Khush raho, at least rehne ke liye tumhaare paas ghar toh hain”. There are people out there who’re walking 1000 of miles along with the luggage and their families; meanwhile dodging from police. So, be happy about what you have and cherish these moments with family or spend it on your growth. Stay safe and let’s just pray that all this ends soon.
