Rohtang Pass – A Stunning Escapade
Rohtang pass is a picturesque high mountain pass on the Himalayan range in Manali, Himachal Pradesh, Northern India. How to reach
You can reach Rohtang Pass via Road, Air or Train.
Listing down the probable travel routes. You can avail any of them depending upon your expedition spree and eagerness.
- You can arrive at Chandigarh International Airport and travel by road via Shimla, Kulu, and Manali to reach Rohtang Pass. It is almost a journey of 10 hours, with a one-night break at Shimla and Manali.
- You can arrive by air at Delhi International Airport or arrive by train in New Delhi and then travel by road via Chandigarh, Shimla, Kulu, and Manali. The journey takes almost 14 hours to complete with multiple breaks at the four places.
- You can arrive at Bhuntar airport which is 105 km far from Rohtang Pass via Manali.
- You can arrive by train at the Joginder Nagar railway station, about 103 km from Rohtang Pass via Manali.
- Buses also ply between Manali and Rohtang pass, run by the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation. Both air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned deluxe coaches are available, operating daily along the route.

Marhi
Marhi is mostly an uninhabited place with few small huts across the meandering roads. Down below you can find the flowing river waters, ideal for different sports activities specially the river rafting. The town boasts of its pristine beauty and calmness. If you want to spend a quiet day, the place is perfect to freshen up your mind.
Gulaba
Located at about 6 km from the Rohtang Pass, Gulaba is a small village adorned with the lush green meadows and the enchanting view of the mountains. You can enjoy a stroll along the pathways engulfing the freshness in the air. Different types of adventure and sports activities are common in Gulaba. The tranquility in this place attracts many visitors on their route towards Rohtang Pass.
Lahaul and Spiti Valley
