I had always preferred to stay at a beach resort in Goa, which is serene and less crowded. So there was an obvious hunt for a resort at one of the beaches in South Goa. Travel enthusiasts and beach lovers must know that south Goa beaches are comparatively calmer, empty, and peaceful compared to north Goa. And finally, the hunt was over when a good friend suggested the colorful Art resort in the heart of Palolem Beach. The pictures on the Internet were too alluring and the booking was made instantly.
Arrival at Art Resort
The moment we landed at the Goa international airport, the vibes of the place seemed to catch up. And the best part was the resort staff had already pre-booked a taxi for us and hence the travel from the airport to the resort was completely hassle-free. Waiting time was zero and which lifted the mood further. The taxi dropped us right at the entrance gate of the resort. We were greeted warmly at the reception, superbly ornated with artwork from various prominent artists. After completing the formalities at the desk, we were escorted to our cottage.
Cottages at the resort
Art Resort offers four different types of cottages.
Honeymoon Cottages – Located right at the beach facing the sea, in fact, they are present at the first row of the resort. From an amenities point of view, you will get a spacious verandah with a sofa and table to sit, relax, and spend a cozy time with your partner. There is a king-sized bed, A/C, fan, fridge, chairs, sun beds, a European bathroom with hot water, and free Wi-Fi.
Superior+ Cottages – Present just behind the honeymoon cottages. They have a large living area inside each cottage offering mesmerizing sea views and a spacious private verandah. Besides, the cottages have a king-sized bed, sofa, table and chairs, TV, A/C, fan, fridge, sofa, desk, chairs, sun beds, European bathroom with hot water, and free Wi-Fi.
Superior Cottages – These cottages are also placed behind the Honeymoon cottages but you can enjoy enchanting views of the sea from their private spacious verandah. The other amenities include a king-sized bed, sofa, table, and chairs, a large living area, A/C, fan, fridge, sofa, desk, chairs, sun beds, a European bathroom with hot water, and free Wi-Fi.
Art Prive Cottages – These cottages are for family, located about 50 meters away from the main beach. They offer direct and easy access to the beach as well as the restaurant. The amenities include rooms with garden views, a private spacious verandah, sofas, a private mini pool (tub), a European bathroom with hot water, a king-sized bed, A/C, fridge, desk, Fan, TV, sun beds, and free Wi-Fi.
The cottages are all beach huts with hammocks.
The restaurant and bar
The restaurant and bar at the Art resort are located just near the beach and have ample seating arrangements inside the resort as well as at the beachfront. The palm trees act as an umbrella and keep the place cool and tranquil. You can sit, order food and drinks and chill throughout the evening, immersing in the soothing air at the beach.
The spread of dishes is awesome from the Indian and the European cuisines. The taste is delicious with specialties being fish, seafood, pasta, salads, barbecue dishes, pesto, mozzarella, and much more.
You can also enjoy live performances by musicians and bands, perfect entertainment for music lovers.
The decor, art classes, and art exhibitions
The unique part of Art Resort is the numerous artworks displayed throughout the premises. The paintings are gorgeous and exclusive and will keep you almost glued to them. The ambiance at the resort is magnified by these amazing creations by local as well as prominent artists. You can sit and create your own paintings at the resort art gallery. You can even attend a few classes on painting, and pottery making at the resort.
One more attraction at the resort is the Ayurvedic spa and treatment center. I also did not miss the opportunity to go through a head and back body massage. There are expert lady folks at the center who specialize in Ayurvedic therapies. The therapies are a perfect relaxation quite twining with the mood at the beach and the resort.
So if you ever want to spend a captivating time in Goa, then you must stay at the Art Resort – Highly recommended. For Booking, visit the link
