6 Aww-Inspiring Themed Resorts in the UK

Welcome to our second edition on Themed Resorts. Our today’s focus is on Themed resorts in the UK. Every year the United Kingdom welcomes thousands of guests and tourists from all over the world. The country has a plethora of sightseeing destinations – some are natural, some are historical and some are royal. Globetrotters treasure this beautiful and amazing country, spending even 1 to 2 weeks of vacation exploring every corner of it. And imagine how entertaining the stay will be if you can enjoy it in one of the exotic and themed resorts in the UK. Today I assume the privilege of providing a virtual tour to such themed resorts in the UK that are sure to allure and enchant you.

Art Deco Burgh Island Hotel

I think my ardent readers and friends are aware of Agatha Christie, the legendary writer of mysteries and thrillers. Burgh island does have a special connection with her. The island served as an inspiration for a few of her mystery stories. The place is located on the South Devon coast near a small village called Bigbury-on-sea. The Art Deco Burgh Island Hotel located on the island is one of the prominent resorts in the UK. Its Art Deco style, a renowned architectural designed building with visual arts, was an inspiration from France. Staying in the resort will time travel backwards to an era of literature, films, art and craftsmanship. At low tide, the hotel is walkable from the village. During high tide, the hotel provides a sea tractor for transporting the guests.

The Bar Convent Guesthouse

The Bar Convent Guesthouse is one of the unusual themed resorts in the UK. It is part of a convent that is still in operation. Constructed in 1686, it has 18 rooms for the guests. The architectural style of the buildings, walls, and furniture are sure to attract your attention. The garden surrounding the resort is remarkable and well-curated. The dormitories of the convent have been converted into rooms, adorned with pinewood made furniture, modern bathrooms, comfortable beds and neatly arranged carpets. You will love the entrance with glass windows and the Victorian chapel. The resort has a cafe serving delicious food and drinks.

Cley Windmill

Imagine staying inside a tower mill amid a lush green environment. The Cley Windmill residential accommodation is one of those unusual resorts in the UK, offering a unique countryside experience. Located in Norfolk, it is one of the most beautiful themed resorts in the UK. It offers bed and breakfast services. There is a stable and a boathouse which has been converted into rooms for stay. The rooms impart a feeling of dwelling within an adventurous environment, circumference by panoramic views and charming atmosphere. The breakfast served is excellent and delectable.

Augill Castle Hotel

Love visiting castles and cathedrals of ancient times? Then you must plan to stay in the Augill Castle hotel while you are vacationing in the UK. The castle is located near Yorkshire Dales National Park. Built-in the neo-Gothic style of architecture, you can witness the glass windows, staircases, turrets, towers carved in the ancient design patterns. No doubt it is one of the most authentic themed resorts in the UK. You can enjoy your stay with an antique touch of rugs, wooden floors, curtains, and wallpapers. Spread across 20 acres of land, there are an astounding lawn, tennis courts, and gardens around the hotel.

Malmaison Oxford Hotel

Converted from prison into guest accommodation, Malmaison Oxford Hotel is one of the splendid themed resorts in India. The prison cells, bars, windows portray the ancient looks, perfect for experiencing a wonderful ambience. The buildings within the resort are interconnected as per the old design of the prison. The rustic looks in the interiors are unique decors to witness and spend a wonderful stay. The walls are thick the way it is in a prison. The cell doors are still there but yes converted into doors of the hotel bedrooms. The rooms are comfortable and the cuisine is also great.

Spitbank Fort

Travellers visiting the UK, consider Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight as a paradise. The beauty of these two places is mesmerizing and fascinating. Staying at a resort near these two places, I swear, would be a splendid idea. And the best place near the area is Spitbank Fort resort. A fort transformed into a hotel, one of the astounding themed resorts in India. The unique feature of the fort is its location, being present on a private island. You can feel the royalty of staying in an ancient resort, experiencing a unique combo of luxury and old taste.
