Expo 2020 Dubai was originally scheduled to unfold in the year 2020 if not for the pandemic disruptions. Nevertheless, UAE has been steadfast in its preparations and policies to make Expo 2020 happen this year.
For those of you who have never heard or have little info about the Expo 2020 Dubai, this write-up is a prelude.
UAE is organizing the global event ‘Expo 2020 Dubai’ with a theme ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future’. The mega event is scheduled to commence from the 1st of October and last up until the curtain comes down on 31st March 2022 in Dubai. A mindboggling extravaganza that pulls together more than two hundred participants from across the world. To showcase the ingenuity, innovation, and culture and to be part of awe-inspiring revelations, the stage is almost set.

The Schedule of Expo 2020 Dubai
The opening ceremony is on the 30th of September. The mega event lasts for 180 days thence. Each day of the event has been scheduled to maximize the utilization of multiple resources available. ‘Something for everyone in a grand manner’ that’s what you can expect from Expo 2020 Dubai. Ranging from education to food, latest technology to music, fashion to live performances, you have it all covered here. From hourly shows to daily performances to weekly events, the carnival is truly surreal.
The entire stretch of the Expo arena is thematically divided. Thematic Districts demonstrate the core of each of these plots.

Spread over 5 KM square feet and divided into three pavilions, the arena of Expo 2020 is vast enough to be lost in the wonderland. Keep aside a minimum of ten days to cover most parts of it. Much like in an airport, you will be thoroughly screened at the entrance.
Planning and Preparations
Under the able guidance of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, in collaboration with other ministers and officials, the event stands out as the pride project of the country. Months of preparations and timely executions of ideas have made Expo 2020 a reality.
With the spirit and unity of different government and non-government bodies, the country is a perfect host for Expo 2020.
Among the impressive preparations, a metro rail line, new metro stations, new trains, new roads, buses and taxies, parking slots are a few to mention.
Millions of visitors are expected to frequent the event during these 180 days. in view of this, the preparations have been top-notch.
How to get there?
The no better or easier way to get to Expo 2020 than to ride by the new Dubai Metro expo edition. It takes you all the way up to the entrance of the Expo 2020 arena from the city of Dubai.
By Expo Rider and RTA buses
You can avail yourself the free rides by public transport to the event if you are an Expo 2020 registered visitor in Dubai. How cool is that? There is an array of buses totaling 203 arranged from different Emirates. Apart from this, the regular RTA buses also shuttle from different cities.
No dearth of taxies in Dubai. From the 15000 thousand taxies including limousines, hope in any of them and they will drop you at the destination. Keep note of these apps to easily book taxis: Careem, Uber, or S’hail.
Visiting by own vehicles? There are 30,000 parking slots. Forget not where exactly you park the vehicles. From the parking slot, feeder buses ply to pick and drop. If you miss the drop-off point on the way back, you will be in the soup.
International airports are in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah
