COVID-19 Free Countries in the World – Part 1

COVID-19 has hit the world on a massive scale. The majority of the countries are struggling to keep things under control. Vaccination drives are in full swing, with governments of the countries desperately trying to protect their citizens. As we try to stay positive, overcoming the grief and anxiety the pandemic has brought into people's lives; some countries have instilled hope in the lives of travellers and adventure enthusiasts. In this article, I happily want to share about countries that have claimed to be COVID-19 free; news which all of us want to hear from the countries we reside in. These COVID-19 free countries are spreading positive vibes in the world; an encouragement that the world will heal soon. The information will be split across 2 parts.

Cook Islands

Cook Islands have been declared as one of the COVID-19 free countries. They are a conglomerate of 15 islands in the South Pacific ocean. Beautiful views adorn the islands with crystal blue waters and the lush green dense forests. You can enjoy snorkelling, diving, fishing and sea scooting. Lagoon cruises are also available for nature admirers. Several spectacular villas, holiday homes and resorts are present in the islands for a pleasant stay. You can visit the Cook Islands all throughout the year.

Marshall Islands

The Marshall Islands in the Pacific ocean near the equator has also been declared as one of the COVID-19 free countries. About 1156 individual islands contribute to the area of the country and spread across 29 coral reefs. The country is beautiful with sandy beaches, blue waters, palm trees and dense forests. The flora and fauna of the place are worthy of appreciation. There are about 70 species of birds and 300 species of fish on the islands. If you are fond of wildlife and love watching birds, then a visit to the Marshall Islands is a must.

Solomon Islands

Solomon Islands has been included in the list of COVID-19 free countries. It's a group of 6 main islands and other smaller 900 islands in the south-western Pacific ocean near Australia. Though not a very popular country for tourism, yet one can visit for experiential travelling. You can check the simple livelihood of the people, the serene weather and enjoy the soothing environment prevailing at the place.

The Federated States of Micronesia is a group of islands in the north-western Pacific ocean. There are about 607 islands within the conglomerate. It is declared as one of the COVID-19 free countries. The islands are renowned for beautiful beaches, crystal clear sparkling waters, and several ancient ruins. Its biological diversity is amazing and attracts tourists searching for adventure and wildlife. Mangrove forests, deep gorges, river valleys, and lagoons are spread across the place. Corva Island

Corvo Island belongs to Portugal and is part of the Azores archipelago. It is on the list of COVID-19 free countries in the world. The simple and tranquil landscape is worthy of a visit with family and friends. The rich flora and fauna of the place deserve accolades. Marine life admirer would love to dive underwater to explore the world beneath. Dolphins, whales and sea birds are the star attractions among the animal and birds reigning on the island. If you are a couple rent a scooter or bike for a romantic getaway. For groups, hiring a car is recommended.

American Samoa

American Samoa is a group of 5 islands and 2 coral reefs. Declared as one of the COVID-19 free countries, it's an ideal travel destination for wildlife admirers and bird watchers. There are about 34 bird species, 915 species of fish and 900 species of animals in the islands. The key among them being the Cane Toad, Samoa Flying fox, the sea turtles and Samoa's parrot the Blue-crowned lory. The locals in the place engage in different types of sports like basketball, football, table tennis, volleyball, boxing and many more.

Saint Helena Island

Saint Helena Island is located in the middle of the Atlantic ocean, in between the countries of Angola and Namibia. The island is isolated among the COVID-19 free countries in the world. Well, at the island you will definitely enjoy its unique flora and fauna. Cabbage, teak, gum, ebony are among the popular trees on the island. For bird watchers, the place is a delight. The national bird of Saint Helena is the Wirebird and then there are other land birds to observe and enjoy.

    Reading this makes me envy these amazing places. Not that they are Covid free but definitely I missed going to beaches and islands. I wish I can have a vacation in any of this beautiful places.
