Glittering lights, colorful ornaments, and intricately adorned Christmas trees create a festive panorama, inviting a sense of enchantment and wonder.
Families come together to exchange gifts, and share meals. Every festival calls you to shop, and so does Christmas. Christmas markets in India are not as widespread as in some Western countries. The islands, with their scenic beauty, uniquely celebrate Christmas. While there might not be traditional Christmas markets, you can experience local festivities and find stalls selling Christmas goodies, local unique crafts, local sweets, and more. The local community gathers every year to celebrate this, offering to treat tourists.

Shillong
The northeastern state of Meghalaya, particularly Shillong, has a significant Christian population. Christmas markets in this region offer a glimpse into the local culture. While not exactly Christmas markets, Sunday Soul Sante has become an annual event in Bangalore Christmas diaries, these places often have festive events, and you can find stalls selling holiday treats.
