New Dubai Attraction – Museum of the Future Dubai
The people of Dubai keep bringing out mind-boggling and breathtaking attractions and the world can't seem to get enough. The latest attraction that is capturing everyone's imagination and attracting crowds from all over the world is the Museum of the Future Dubai. After a few delays owing to the pandemic, the museum finally opened on the 22nd of February, 2022. This day was specifically chosen because it is a palindrome date – 22/02/2022. Though the museum is still being completed, many exhibitions are open. In just a few months, the Museum of Dubai has already become a crowd favorite.
The Purpose
The Museum of the Future tries to imagine how the world will look 50 years from now (2071). The museum was built to promote innovation and advancement in everyday life. And to see how technology will change human life in the future. It also shows what changes we'll see in space and space travel. It brings together financiers, innovators, inventors, and researchers in one place where they can contribute to the future. A lot of the focus here is on artificial intelligence and robotics. However, the museum also utilizes other technologies like human and machine interaction, big data, and augmented and virtual reality. These technologies help the museum paint the picture of how the world will be in 50 years.
Design & Architecture
Recognized by National Geographic as one of the ‘14 most beautiful museums in the world'; the Museum of the Future Dubai is a modern-day architectural marvel. The futuristic design and feel of the whole place can be attributed to Shaun Killa, the chief architect, and Burro Happold, the engineer.
The museum covers an area of 30,000 sq. meters and reaches a height of 77 meters. Another noteworthy observation of the out structure is that it has no sharp corners. The whole museum is powered by solar energy.
On the stainless-steel facade of the museum, three quotes have been artistically painted through the use of Arabic calligraphy. This is the work of Mattar bin Lahej, one of the biggest Emirati artists. All the quotes are based on the poetry of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the ruler of Dubai and Vice President & Prime Minister of UAE.
Features
Laboratories
The Museum of the Future, though a museum, will mostly function as the main center for laboratories where there is research, study, innovation, and action on important subjects like smart cities, education, health, transportation, energy, DNA, and genetics. The museum will employ scientists from around the world to conduct research and study at all the laboratories.
Future Heroes
Since the museum is dedicated to the future, it goes without saying that there is something special for the world's future – children. The Future Heroes environment, created for children from the age of 3 to 10, is a place where children get encouragement to pursue their potential. This place is fun yet very educational.
Workshops
Throughout the year, the Museum of the Future will also host special workshops conducted by some of the most creative minds in the world. Guests who are interested in learning new technology and innovations can attend these.
New Moon
In this exhibit, you will get to see how our moon could become a source of unlimited renewable energy. Along with the new emerging technology, you will also get to see a lot of futuristic designs.
Digital Amazon
Have you seen the Amazon rainforest? Well, now you can see a virtual version of it. And this version just might be better. You will get to see the Amazon Forest in deep detail, including the indigenous species. You can observe their behavior and their interaction with each other. This is one of the most visually stunning features that will make you want to get a Dubai visa and come here.
The Vault of Life
Though it is a DNA Library of thousands of species, it is also a movement toward undoing the damage of climate change. The library lets you access species you may not have even heard of – such is the depth and richness of this library. It can help those looking to make a change.
Future of Wellness
So, what will happen when you completely shut off the digital aspects of your life and concentrate more on your body, mind, and spirit? Well, this place has the answers. Visit the Future of Wellness to gain a unique perspective on human health in the future.
The Centre
Continuing with the theme of health, the Centre is a place that approaches health differently. Using water, meditation, and movements, here at the center, you can correct your natural rhythms and electromagnetic fields. The center uses a dome of water and light for this.
The Museum of the Future is a place like no other. It is the perfect addition to Dubai, a city that has always been ahead of its time. So, for a holiday into the future, get your Dubai tourist visa and visit the Museum of the Future.
