Six Flags Great Adventure, NJ – Reliving Memories

Reminiscing memories of visits in various places tend to ignite momentous energy within me. Scanning through the photos sways my mind to those wonderful destinations I have travelled so far. Though I know there are “miles to go before I sleep”, yet the trips generate tremendous positivity to live life like a queen. I thought let me share my experience and my beautiful memories of a thrilling day I had spent at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey, US.

Quite popular among the residents of US and across the world, Six Flags Great Adventure is a huge amusement and theme park beaming with breathtaking rides and exclusive wonders. Thrilling rides, vibrant entertainment zones, rearing and caring animals and spectacular events and shows are a treasure trove of this wondrous land.

The Family Rides

Though I was not accompanied by my family but friends, yet I enjoyed the sequence of rides. Starting from lightning speed rides to the slow steady ones, you can find all types in this zone. You can find the huge giant wheel, especially glowing with lights in the evening. For high end thrill lovers, Buccaneer, Deja Vu, Enchanted Teacups, Swashbuckler, and the Harley Quinn Crazy Train are the perfect rides. They surely test your fear endurance with their striking speeds and aggressive turns and twists.

The zone has several water rides too, swirling through multiple tracks and slides to finally splash into a huge pool of water. In the end, you can sit and relax inside the gondola rides for a bird's eye view tour of the entire park. Well, I did not go for it, but adventure enthusiasts must try for the American Road Race. It is essentially a go-karting track for a speedy drive through the curvy lanes.

The Thrilling Adrenaline-rush Rides

Eager to experience the exhilarating velocities and the heights, Six Flags Great Adventure park houses the best of the rides. The rides are named after the superheroes and the action-packed Hollywood movies like Twister. The star attraction is the Nitro, looping through multiple and varying turns and dropping from the level of a 21-storey building.

Rides named after Batman, Superman, Wonder woman, the Joker and Zumajaro will entice you for a super fun-filled experience. You can hear squeals and screams spanning through the sky as the rides carry the visitors at electrifying speed. I did not have the courage to ride through them all, felt good to observe them from a distance. You really need a strong heart to brace the rides without fear.

Kid Rides

The little ones can spend a lovely time giggling merrily in the kids rides section. The colourful compartments shaped like elephants, aeroplanes, beetle entertain the kids. It is a delightful experience to watch the smile and glee on their faces as they bump and jump on the rides. I surely want to bring my son here one day, though he may soon outgrow for this section.

The Bugs Bunny National Park water tower is especially attractive for the kids. You can find them deliberately going near it for the fun of being drenched by the water sprinkling from it. I felt like returning back to my childhood days, jumping and squealing with the kids.

The Safari

The best part of Six Flags Great Adventure is its Safari Tour. It is best to visit during the weekends. You will be spellbound to hear out there are about 1200 animals in the wild forest zone, belonging to different continents. They roam in their natural habitat freely. You can learn how to preserve and protect them from being extinct and to help them survive with proper food and care.

The Safari zone is segregated into approximately 11 adventure lands. The Americas section is the residence of the animals from geography. You can find the wild turkey, llama, deer, elk, bison and many more. The Afrikka land is unique hosting the rare and endangered species of rhino, elephants, ostrich, stork, zebra etc. For bird watchers, the Wild Plains is the perfect place to observe a plethora of bird species. Some are water birds and some are land birds. The entire area rings with the melodious chirping of the birds.

For all those who have watched Simba, the King of the Jungle, you can recollect the movie as you visit the Kingsland. An entire pride of lions is there to greet you with their families. Wildlife admirers are greatly acquainted with the Asiatic tigers. Tigris Asiana is the place for them watching the tigers breeding and living in a natural environment. There are several other areas for watching the deer, baboons, bear, foxes, turtles, emus, kangaroos and so on.

Entertaining Events

The park hosts music concerts and shows throughout the year. You can check the schedule and book your tickets online. Halloween and other seasonal festivals are held with great pomp and glory, welcoming visitors from all around the world. During the events and parties, the entire park is illuminated with sparkling lights, vibrant music and delicious foods at the stalls.

Food and Beverage Stalls

You will surely require energy and enthusiasm to keep yourself refreshed throughout the entire day. Else you may miss many of the interesting and delightful rides and events. Therefore friends, food and drinks are a must. And you will not be disappointed with your choices inside the park. There are a number of snacks bars, food stalls, beverage shops serving delectable dishes from multiple cuisines. American, Asian, Italian, and Mexican foods are sold in the food park.

Shopping Delight

We, travel freaks, understand the value of shopping wherever we go. It is not about buying clothes or jewellery. The important is the souvenir for memory and gift items for our near and dear ones. Inside the Six Flags Great Adventure park, there are shopping arenas to check out candies and toys for the kids, gift items and souvenirs.

I hope you enjoyed my short virtual journey across one of the happening theme parks of US. Hope I can visit soon with my family and enjoy a eventful day of fun and frolic.
