Having to walk around out in the open is no longer a pleasant experience. Just like the trees exhibiting a skeleton guise, the whole ambiance has changed. Since I am spending my first winter in Italy, I am convinced that it is one of the most beautiful countries to celebrate Christmas and New Year.

Bologna located in the country’s northern region is a spectacular city to tour during winter. The entire city is beautifully embellished during winter. Shopping and night walks through the city become a special experience. The charming porticoes which is a UNESCO World Heritage site and museums in the city are worth noting.
The night view from the Asinelli Tower or visiting the oldest University in the Western world, the University of Bologna are engaging activities. Enjoying local delicacies or going on a street food tour can be exciting.
