There are a plethora of things to do at Fisherman's Village in Koh Samui. You can spend an entire afternoon, evening, and night engaging in multiple activities. Here are some of the interesting and fun-filled attractions for you to venture into.

Relax at the pristine Bophut beach

Bophut Beach is one of the most prominent beaches in Koh Samui, quaint in mood, astonishing in beauty, and full of action. The white sandy beaches are a treat to the eyes. And its charm is further augmented by the sparkling sea waters and the soothing environment around. You can stroll along the beach, soak into its tranquil breeze, engage in some beach and water sports, or enjoy a candlelight dinner with your loved ones.

Watching the fishermen catching fish with their nets is another eventful attraction, which you must not miss. You must walk along the beachside to steal such opportunities. I did that and was lucky enough to check out a jellyfish.

The sunset is gorgeous at the beach, with the sunrays spreading across a golden hue along the sky and in the waters. If you know diving, then you can try it at the beach. You can carry your gear or rent them from the shops nearby. The swimming spots are marked along the waters, so it is advisable to follow the rules and not venture out too much for swimming.

Dine at the restaurants, bars, and cafes

The moment you step inside the Fisherman's Village in Koh Samui, you will be greeted by plenty of restaurants, bars, cafes, and drink parlors. The decors are superb and well-maintained, and the seating arrangements are unique overlooking the beach. Some have seating facilities on the beach itself. There are special canopy-covered places for couples to enjoy privacy.

You can either go for a takeaway or sit and dine at the restaurants and cafes. Melodious music entertains the guests, much to everyone's delight. The food is delectable and mouth-watering and from multiple cuisines. You can feel the vibes of different dishes across the world. My favorite is Coco Tam's Bar and Restaurant and I enjoyed being at the place along with its food and drinks.

Shop at the night market

When you are in the Fisherman's Village in Koh Samui, shopping is a must. The night market is the perfect place to shop galore. There are shops selling beautiful ethnic clothes, souvenirs, gift items, and many more. You can purchase some handmade jewelry for yourself and for gift purposes. The shops are mostly run by the locals, selling local and hand-stitched or made items. The prices are not very high so you can easily purchase them.

Music and Fire shows

The entire walking street in the village turns lively and vibrant with the live music and the enlivening fire shows. I watched the fire shows while dining at Coco Tam's Bar and Restaurant. The performance was incredible, hats off to the daredevil attitude of the performers. Plenty of stunts were in action and the audience applauded in amazement. The brilliant display of fire through various actions entertained all.

How to reach Fisherman's Village

You can rent a bike, hire a cab or even avail of the Tuktuk to reach Fisherman's Village in Koh Samui. Koh Samui is a small island and all the places are situated close to each other, the traveling time not exceeding 15 to 20 minutes. Transportation is quite easy.

Fisherman's village is indeed a happening place on the island. To feel the best of its grandeur, it is better to reach just before the sunset and then mingle into the night charm.
